Customer Responsibility

Basic Approach

Toyota Tsusho Corporation operates a diverse range of businesses, among which our food business is directly connected to consumers. We consider it our corporate responsibility to actively address social issues such as ensuring food safety and reducing environmental impact within this sector.

As a company that provides value closely linked to people’s daily lives through our food business, we regard building and maintaining trust with our customers as our most fundamental foundation. We strive to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by offering safe and reliable food, as well as developing and supplying products and services that meet the diverse needs of consumers.

In the food sector, we place great importance on strict compliance with laws and regulations and rigorous quality control throughout the entire value chain—from raw material procurement to processing, distribution, and sales—in order to enhance consumers’ health and quality of life. We also sincerely listen to customer feedback and reflect it in our business activities to continuously improve our products and services. In the event of any serious issues, we promptly report and respond in accordance with the Toyota Tsusho Group’s common rules, “Emergency response guidelines.”

Initiatives

Within the Toyota Tsusho Group, Toyotsu Shokuryo Foods is committed to ensuring food safety and security while building a sustainable food supply system. Responding to growing consumer health awareness and environmental considerations, we implement a variety of measures to meet customer expectations, including securing traceability, sourcing sustainable raw materials, and reducing food loss.

To fulfill our customer responsibility, our Quality Assurance Group regularly audits local quality management systems to ensure product safety. In addition to ongoing employee training, we have established a system for timely sharing of information related to food safety. These efforts go beyond simple food distribution and represent our challenge to address social issues through food.
