Fighting Eagles Nagoya Promoted to B1

Toyota Tsusho Corporation ("Toyota Tsusho") announced today that its professional basketball team, the Fighting Eagles Nagoya ("FE Nagoya"), has been promoted to B1 (first division) of the men's Japan Professional Basketball League ("B.LEAGUE") next season following its success this season in B2 (second division) and the result of the B2 PLAYOFFS SEMIFINALS 2021-22 on May 14. This is the first time that FE Nagoya has been promoted to the B1 league since the establishment of the B.LEAGUE.

Aiming for the B2 championship, the B2 PLAYOFFS FINALS 2021-22 will be held at the Biwajima Sports Center in Nagoya City on May 20, 21, and 22.

Toyota Tsusho offers its congratulations to the players and staff of FE Nagoya and gratitude to the fans who always support and cheer on the team. Toyota Tsusho will continue to support FE Nagoya's success in B1 next season.

About Fighting Eagles Nagoya

FE Nagoya was established in 1957 and is the oldest team amongst Toyota Tsusho’s sports clubs. The team was a member of the Japan Basketball League first division (the business league at the time) for five years from 1990. Since 1995, the team has won five championships in the second division of the Japan Basketball League. The team joined the men’s domestic professional basketball league B.LEAGUE in 2016 and has been primarily active in B2.
