Toyota Tsusho Group Concludes 44 MOU at TICAD 9

The Toyota Tsusho Group concluded 44 MOUs and other cooperation documents with the governments of African countries, private companies, United Nations agencies, and others at the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), held in Yokohama from August 20 to 22. This number significantly exceeds the 25 MOUs concluded at the previous TICAD 8. In addition, the Group held meetings with heads of state and ministers from 20 African countries, strengthening relationships and discussing contributions to resolving social issues and promoting economic growth.
At TICAD 9, under the key message "for the future children of Africa," the Group engaged in co-creation discussions and deepened collaboration with diverse partners, including government agencies and private companies, focusing on three priority initiatives: Green Economy, Global Health, and Capacity Building.
The Group also exhibited a booth at the TICAD Business Expo & Conference, where it conveyed its commitment to growing together with the people and society of Africa centered on these three priority initiatives to many visitors.]
Guided by the philosophy "WITH AFRICA FOR AFRICA," the Toyota Tsusho Group has walked alongside the people and society of Africa for over 170 years.
Through its initiatives at TICAD 9, the Group will accelerate its contribution to solving social issues and promoting economic growth through co-creation with Africa. Furthermore, by promptly realizing the MOUs concluded this time, the Group will advance efforts to create a better Earth and a sustainable society for the future children of Africa.
