Receiving the “Toyota Tsusho Award” of THE TOYOTA TSUSHO CFAO African Art Award of THE TOYOTA TSUSHO CFAO African Art Award in recognition of my work is an incredible honor. As an independent artist making such strides so early on in my career serves as an acknowledgment of the tireless hours spent in the studio but also a reminder to trust and believe in what I create, to trust that it does matter and has an impact.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the educators, collectors, artists, mentors, and those who have poured into me and shaped the artist I am today and continue to become.
