Toyotsu Automotive Creation Signs a Business Agreement with USS, the Largest Used Vehicle Auction Provider

Toyotsu Automotive Creation Corporation (TAC), a wholly-own subsidiary of the Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Toyota Tsusho), signed a business agreement with Japan's largest used vehicle auction provider, USS Co., Ltd. (USS) on installation of undercarriage and wheels imaging system from UVeye, Ltd. (UVeye) of Israel, for which Toyota Tsusho holds sales rights. Trial use of the system will take place in April 2020 at USS's auction site in Nagoya.
The UVeye system is a unique system which detects vehicle's anomalies within a few second by 1) scanning and creating 3D images of the undercarriage, body and wheels and then 2) conducting AI-based image analysis. Installation of the UVeye system will increase efficiency of the vehicle inspection, which is commonly done by man in regular practice.
With the trial system operation, USS will obtain high resolution images of vehicles from the system and provide to USS auction members. Based on the results of the trial system operation, TAC and USS will discuss further about installation of the system to USS's 19 auction sites nationwide.
Additionally, TAC and USS will jointly evaluate and discuss about installation of whole UVeye vehicle inspection system including AI-based image analysis to increase efficiency in vehicle inspection.
