The following are the major indexes in which Toyota Tsusho is included and our ESG ratings.

FTSE4Good Index Series, FTSE Blossom Japan Index, FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

FTSE Indexes are indexes developed by FTSE Russell, a global index provider wholly owned by the London Stock Exchange.Companies that meet various environmental, social, and governance criteria are selected for inclusion in these indexes.

FTSE4Good

The FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and is widely used in the creation and evaluation of sustainable investment funds and other financial products. Toyota Tsusho has been included in this index series consecutively since 2021.

FTSE Blossom Japan

The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral* benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices in Japan. Toyota Tsusho has been included in this index consecutively since 2021.

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed as a sector neutral* benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating relatively strong ESG practices in Japan. In addition, in order to promote the transition to a low-carbon society, for companies with particularly high greenhouse gas ("GHG") emissions, only those whose improvement efforts have been highly rated by the TPI Management Quality Score are selected. Toyota Tsusho has been included in this index consecutively since 2022.

    To minimize industry/sector bias by equally weighting 11 industries including oil, gas and industrial machinery as well as 45 sectors including oil and gas producers, petroleum equipment/services/distribution, construction materials, electronics, and electronic equipment with those of the underlying index.

As a result of third-party reviews, Toyota Tsusho Corporation has met the requirements for inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index, FTSE Blossom Japan Index, and FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index, which are indexes maintained by FTSE Russell (registered trademark of FTSE International Limited and the Frank Russell Company), and is a constituent stock in these indexes. FTSE Russell constituent stocks are widely used in the creation and evaluation of sustainable investment funds and other financial products.

MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index

2023 CONSTITUENT MSCI JAPAN EMPOWERING WOMEN INDEX (WIN)

The MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index was developed by the US-based Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) and selects companies that excel in gender diversity among the top 700 stocks by market capitalization, grouped by industry sector.

Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index (GenDi J)

The index by US-based Morningstar utilizes Equileap's Gender Equality Scorecard and focuses on companies whose gender diversity policies are embedded in their corporate culture and companies that are committed to equal opportunities for their employees, regardless of gender. Companies are grouped into five levels according to their score, with Toyota Tsusho in Group 2, the second level from the top.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

This index uses TOPIX constituent stocks as its universe, and weighs them according to their environmental information disclosure status and carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of revenue). Higher weightings are given to companies that fully disclose environmental information and companies with high carbon efficiency. Toyota Tsusho has been selected for this index since 2018.

CDP

CDP DISCLOSURE INSIGHT ACTION

CDP is an international NGO that was established in London in 2000. CDP calls on participating companies to disclose strategies on climate change and specific figures on greenhouse gas emissions. As a representative of institutional investors with a total investor assets exceeding 130 trillion U.S. dollars, CDP sends questionnaires to companies, analyzes and evaluates their responses, and discloses scores. Scores are ranked according to eight levels: A, A-, B, B-, C, C-, D, and D-.

Platinum Kurumin

Platinum Kurumin certification is awarded by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to Kurumin certified companies that support childcare and have further implemented work-life balance support systems and high-level initiatives. Toyota Tsusho has been certified as Kurumin since 2007 and as Platinum Kurumin since March 2020.

Eruboshi

女性が活躍しています!

Eruboshi is a certification system based on the Act on the Promotion of Women's Active Engagement in Professional Life that recognizes companies that satisfy certain standards and have excellent performance related to the promotion of women's active engagement in professional life and other matters. Toyota Tsusho has been certified since 2016.

Health & Productivity Stock Selection Program

2023 健康経営銘柄 Health and Productivity

The Health & Productivity Stock Selection Program selects stocks that are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange based on their evaluation of companies that strategically carry out efforts regarding their employees' health from a management perspective. Toyota Tsusho has been selected for three years in a row from 2021.

White 500

2023 健康経営優良法人 Health and productivity ホワイト500

White 500 is a certification given to the top 500 enterprises in the Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program (large enterprise category) by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi, which is promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Toyota Tsusho has been certified since 2021.

ISO 30414

ISO 30414

ISO 30414 is guidelines for human capital information disclosure published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2018. Toyota Tsusho obtained this certification on October 31, 2022. It is the second company to acquire this certification in Asia including Japan, and the first in the wholesale industry.

Digital Transformation (DX) Certification

DX認定

Digital Transformation (DX) Certification is a national certification system for companies that are ready to promote DX in accordance with the basic requirements of the Digital Governance Code based on the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing. Toyota Tsusho was certified in 2023.
