Club members were committed to contributing 1% oftheir recurring profits or disposable income to social causes each year. Initially,only TMC participated in the Tokai region, but Toyota Tsusho also supported thisgoal and, in November 1990, officially joined the club with eight other ToyotaGroup companies.As part of its contribution to society, Toyota Tsusho invested 840 million yen inand dispatched employees to the preparation office of the Toyota CommemorativeMuseum for Industry and Technology, which was jointly built and opened in1994 by 13 Toyota Group companies at the site of former Sako Plant of ToyodaAutomatic Loom Works, Ltd. In addition, at the request of the museum, ToyotaTsusho’s Machinery Department imported historical textile machines from Indiaand Mexico for display at the museum.Metal sorting stationHistory93
