In November 1969, theFukuoka Office was opened, and after merging with the Yahata and FukuokaOffices, it was made the Kyushu Sales Office (later becoming the Kyushu Branch).In October 1970, the Sendai Office of the General Merchandise Department wasestablished. It later became the Tohoku Branch following its stint as the TohokuSales Office.These openings were followed by the opening of the Toyama Office in March1973 (later the Hokuriku Sales Office and then the Hokuriku Branch) and, of theGeneral Merchandise Department’s Hiroshima Office (which became the ChugokuSales Office and then the Chugoku Branch) in August 1974.
