The Establishment of the manufacturing company of car seat in St. Petersburg

Toyota Boshoku Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya-city, Aichi, Japan, President: Masanao Motonami) and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Headquarters: Nagoya-city, Aichi, Japan, President: Junzo Shimizu) will establish a joint venture company to produce seats for vehicles in St. Petersburg, Russia. This is the initial launch to the Russian market among automotive parts suppliers in the Toyota Group.
Toyota Boshoku Corporation is promoting global business development that centers on four strategic areas, North and South America, China, ASEAN, and Europe. Today Toyota Boshoku global network amounts to 55 manufacturing facilities and offices in 18 countries. The establishment of the new company in Russia aims at a further expansion of the seat business worldwide.
Toyota Tsusho Corporation has been deploying wide range of business in the Russian market with its opening of the representative office in Moscow in 1985, and the first Toyota car dealer shop in Russia in 1991. Making best use of its experiences accumulated over the past 20 years, Toyota Tsusho provides the new company with necessary supports, especially on external affairs and logistics.
The new joint venture company will commence manufacturing seats for Toyota Camry at the end of year 2007 in house of OOO "TOYOTA MOTOR MANUFACTURING RUSSIA", a subsidiary of TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION.
