Tomen and JTB Cooperate in Developing New Products under the "Rurubu" and "Otona no Tabi jikan" Brands

Tomen Fashion Express Corp. and JTB Corp. have signed an agreement for the use of the JTB Publishing travel magazine trademarks for products and promotions.

Both parties have agreed to use brand images associated with the magazines "Rurubu" and "Otona no Tabi jikan" to promote various products. Tomen Fashion Express will hold licenses and multiple sublicenses to produce and market products such as clothing, bags, umbrellas under these brand names that promote the image of travel. They will start delivering products using these brand names in the domestic market beginning October, 2004. Tomen Fashion Express expects sales of 500 million JPY for the first year and 3 billion JPY in the first three years.

"Otona no Tabi jikan" products

"Rurubu" targets female readers between twenty and forty years of age. Products with the Rurubu brand will relate to the image of active traveling and will be targeted to readers' families and friends.
"Otona no Tabi jikan" targets adults who regularly seek pleasure and have their own particular tastes and preferences. Products will be developed under themes such as "High Quality" "High Spirit" and "Challenge."
JTB expects an increase in magazine readership as a result of promotional efforts relating to these products.

The companies will begin marketing travel goods and fashion products under these brand names, gradually entering the fields of quality comfort products for adults with distinct taste. The companies will promote and distribute products in the magazines, as well as via the internet and through direct mailing.
