Tomen and RedSwitch Sign Product Distribution Agreement for High Performance InfiniBandTM Switch Chips and Solutions for Japan and China

California/Tokyo---Tomen Corporation/Tomen America Inc., and RedSwitch Inc. announced today that they have signed an agreement for distribution of high performance InfiniBand TM switch chips and solutions, and in conjunction with solution, entry into the computer and storage system market in Japan and China.
 Based on the agreement, Tomen will enter the market of growing high performance systems in Japan and China through distribution of entire line of fabric solutions including RedSwitch's debut product, the HDMP-2840, the industry's highest performance and highest integrated InfiniBand TM switch chip. This switch chip offers eight full duplex ports, each running at 10Gbits/sec. The device also provides 160Gbits/sec of wire-speed bandwidth. The RedSwitch solution is designed to be compliant with the InfiniBand Trade Association standard. |
