Tomen Signed a Distribution Agreement with Irish Mobile Commerce Software Company to Expand its Mobile Solution Business in Asian Market2001-03-14
Tomen Corporation announced today the signing of a distribution agreement with the Irish mobile commerce software company, Network365. Through the distribution agreement, Tomen has agreed to market the Network365 mZone application suite through its well-established sales channels both in Japan and the rest of Asia. This will quickly establish the Network365 solution set as the de facto standard for mobile commerce in Japan and in the Asian market, expanding the Tomen mobile solution business to network operators, portal providers and enterprises in Japan and Asia. Tomen is rapidly expanding its business in information and communications technology, developing a wide array of business activities to meet the information technology needs of the future. These include infrastructure for cable television and digital satellite broadcasting, as well as network-based services such as e-commerce. In the field of foreign semiconductor importation to major Japanese handset manufacturers, the consolidated sales of Tomen Group reached more than US$1 billion in fiscal 1999.
