Exclusive Import and Sales Agreement for Japanese Market Signed with Italian Competition Swimming Apparel Brand "Jaked" - Pioneering into Japanese market with globally branded competition swimwear -

Toyota Tsusho Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Toyota Tsusho") together with Footmark Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as "Footmark") have signed an import and sales agreement with Jacked S.r.l., (hereinafter referred to as "Jaked"), an Italian manufacturer of  competition swimming apparel, as exclusive agents in Japan in order to proceed with the company's sales expansion strategy. 

<Background of new business>
Toyota Tsusho has been aiming to maintain a well balanced profit structure, which for the most part is in the company's core area -- automotive-related business, by expanding business operations into non-automotive fields, in accordance with the management vision for achieving a profit ratio of 50:50 for automotive and non-automotive businesses by the year 2015. Proactive investments in retail and brand business areas, as well as efforts to expand business domains have been implemented in non-automotive fields, with the aim of creating a consistent upstream through to downstream value chain, particularly in the field of textile products.

<Details of new business>
Toyota Tsusho established a new partnership with Footmark, a company having planning, manufacturing and selling functions, for the purpose of launching the Italian competition swimming apparel brand,  "Jaked", into the Japanese market. It is hoped that this will spearhead a distribution and licensing businesses for swimwear, swimming apparel and other related products.

<Future developments>
Toyota Tsusho intends to utilize the company's own global network, as well as logistical and distribution functions, along with other such various know-how accumulated over the years, as well as implement new added value provided by Footmark, such as development and sales capabilities in the competition swimming apparel field, in order to respond to the ever changing business environment with the aim of further expanding businesses in sporting fields.
