Toyota Tsusho Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Toyota Tsusho"; Headquarters: Nagoya City; President: Junzo Shimizu) will launch in March 2010 the first phase of the "Hilltop Terrace" commercial complex facility, which will be the largest of its kind to be built in the Kyushu area. This facility is to be located in the Mizumaki Town of Onga County in Fukuoka Prefecture. Daikokuten
Bussan Company (hereinafter referred to as "Daikokuten Bussan") and Daiki Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as "Daiki") will be welcomed as the two major tenants of the facility.
The "Hilltop Terrace" complex is the very first commercial facility to be developed by Toyota Tsusho in the Kyushu area. The facility is to be built in Yahatanishi-ku of Kitakyushu City and Mizumaki Town of Onga Country in Fukuoka Prefecture, which offer favorable access to major transportation lines, alongside national routes 3 and 199, the major arteries of the area.
The tenant stores include the LAMU supermarket chain (Daikokuten Bussan), a company engaged in business throughout the Chugoku and Kansai areas, and a Daiki home improvement center, a company with an increasing presence in the Kyushu, Chugoku, and Kinki areas. In both instances these core tenants will be launching stores in the Kyushu area for the first time, thereby making new consumer environments available to residents of the area.
Many stores offering an abundance of variety for daily life will gather at this location with a second-phase opening (grand opening) in the fall of 2010.
The domestic and overseas networks and procurement capabilities of Toyota Tsusho will be utilized to offer a wide range of products and services, featuring apparel, food, and general merchandise, catering to all customers, from children to senior citizens, in efforts to operate a community-based commercial complex on a breezy and sunlit hill.
