Notice concerning losses on write-down of securities at the ended of FY2009

Toyota Tsusho Corporation ("Toyota Tsusho") announces that it will record impairment losses due to write-downs of certain of its and its subsidiaries' (a) holdings of investment securities and other capital investments and (b) holdings of affiliated companies' shares and investments in affiliated companies for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009. The need to record these losses arose because the market values of the securities and investments in question have fallen substantially, and there is little prospect of a recovery in value.
