Vendor to Vendor Intensive Logistics for Overseas Production Parts
Toyota Tsusho Corporation uses the milk run method to collect parts for the overseas production from domestic parts makers and assembles them into groups to be exported to the same regional destinations. Our door-to-door delivery to local production sites achieves shorter delivery periods and reduced inventory through frequent, small-lot deliveries, as well as lower transportation costs due to the benefits of scale. We also reduce the number of processes involved in import/export office work, which had been handled by individual manufacturers.

Further, Toyota Tsusho also takes part in the operation of Jas-Par (Japan Automotive Software Platform and Architecture: Non-profit organization), which allows automobile manufacturers to jointly develop basic software for on-board electronic control systems. By promoting technical development and cutting related costs, Toyota Tsusho contributes towards the growth of car electronics industry.
