In order to become a Value Integrator, the Company has established two corporate staff divisions with specialized functions. The goal of this structure is to improve competitiveness of all management functions.
The first division is the Corporate Division which is responsible for the support and implementation of strategies for the Company worldwide. It boasts an impressively high level of expertise in the functional areas of global accounting, finance and risk management. The Division's purpose is to bring out the greatest merits of the home office by acting as the chief strategist for the top management of Toyota Tsusho and by being the internal support and check system for each product division. At the same time, it maximizes the "invisible" aspects of corporate value such as personnel development and public relations activities.
The other division is the Global Strategic Integration Division, Which provides cross-divisional functions to our business divisional and overseas strategies in order to enhance the integrated capabilities of the company overall. This Division handles the company-wide control of logistics - the common infrastructure of all business divisions. It also makes comprehensive KAIZEN efforts (in logistic, production, and operational processes), advances overseas business strategies, and uncovers and cultivates new business opportunities. By providing specialized functions to each business division and by maximizing the organic synergies between these divisions, the Global Strategic Integration Division is contributing towards the growth of corporate value.
