The Consumer Products, Services & Materials Division provides a broad range of products and services that support peoples lives in diverse fields that include textile products, lifestyle-related products, consumer materials, urban development, insurance and automotive materials. These products and services are offered based on "reassurance," "safety" and "comfort."
In textile products, we handle a variety of apparel backed by our strengths in functional materials and our extensive production network, while also utilizing our functions as a comprehensive supplier in areas ranging from development to sales and delivery. We are also focusing on forming alliances with domestic apparel manufacturers to strengthen our retail business.
Regarding lifestyle-related fields, as the aging of society accelerates, we are focusing on the needs of people over 60, who we refer to collectively as the "Harvest Age" in reference to their golden years. In meeting the needs of this segment, we are promoting businesses in three fields: "nursing care," "health services" and "Harvest Age product sales."
In consumer materials, we are building an overseas supply chain, including for housing materials.Turning to the urban development business, we are involved in the construction of condominiums that integrate a host of functions that create more comfortable lifestyles, as we support healthy urban lifestyles full of vitality. We are also focusing our efforts on the development of multifunctional commercial facilities.
In the insurance business, we boast a top record in Japan as an insurance agency that offers a diversity of insurance products such as automobile insurance as well as group insurance for our business partner companies. We also provide insurance-related consulting and plan to expand the spheres of our business domains to overseas markets.
In automotive materials, we engage in businesses spanning the development and sale of automotive interior materials and parts, including seat belts and airbags.
